The Billboard Project is a multi-phase, cross platform, transmedia project based around a comedic movie Billboard, an Uncommon Contest for Common People, where the audience participates in its creation over the course of a year and a half. The audience can simply view the movie or become more immersed in the project by taking part in a multitude of outlets that crosses over from a virtual radio station website to social media, to live events, to a movie, then to a game. Intern opportunities are currently available now through the summer and fall of 2013 The creator of the project is Zeke Zelker, a critically acclaimed, award winning filmmaker/entrepreneur with a number of projects to his credit; the wildly successful feature film InSearchOf (the 6th most viewed drama on Hulu all time), the 2005 Sundance Film Festival favorite Loggerheads, Affairs, Fading, A.K.A.-Its A Wiley World!, Getting Off, Southern Belles, Just Like the Son and a documentary on the Dalai Lama, A University Prepares. His first exposure to the film industry was in 1987 when he acted in John Waters groundbreaking film Hairspray. He produced the first and much talked about transmedia experience Pandemic 1.0 at the Sundance Film Festival in 2011. A blending of screenings, live events, social gaming, data visualization, and mobile apps. This experience may change the way people perceive entertainment from a passive experience to an immersive and interactive one.

Internship with News for Beginners. News for Beginners is an English learning website that aims to provide news to students who are just beginning to learn English. It is a news papers for learners. The news articles are easy to read and provide real, current information about world events from people who live in different countries. We are looking for one or two students (or graduates) who are interested in journalism and social issues in their country and surrounding area. The selected applicant will write short articles about the current events that are happening in their country. The applicant must be: Able to speak English at an intermediate or advance level Located in the country about which they are writing. Interested in journalism, studying journalism, political science or related topics Able to carefully follow instructions via email Able to get regular access to the internet The selected applicant will be required to: Communicate with the Director of News for Beginners on a regular basis Submit one article per week about an important event, topic or issue happening in their country Applicants must submit: A resume (CV) A picture A cover letter explaining his/her interests, future ambitions and a brief explanation of the issues his or her country is dealing with at the moment. MedCity Media, the publisher of MedCityNews.com, is seeking a summer intern to produce copious amounts of healthcare content (from blog posts to social media to longer articles) and execute social media strategy. This paid internship will put the intern in the middle of a fast-paced, digital-first media outlet and the intern will be treated like a regular member of team. Ideal candidates have a passion for media and healthcare; have an understanding of social media; are coachable yet independent, critical thinkers; are willing to try different approaches; and are flexible enough to take on different duties throughout the summer. Knowledge of WordPress and other content management systems is also a big plus. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position. Pay is $12.50 per hour and interns will get real-time feedback and exposure to a modern media company. Interns will work from MedCitys main office of Cleveland, Ohio.
