Job Description:


The Cobol Summer Intern will work as a member of a development team creating support and maintenance utilities to support a mission critical billing application for UPS using Cobol, SQL, and MS Access The Intern will be responsible for:



  • Participating in reviews

  • Developing code

  • Developing and executing unit tests


The selected Cobol Summer Intern must also:



  • have knowledge of the full project lifecycle, including design, code, unit and integration testing

  • have core knowledge and skills with Cobol, SQL

  • possess excellent verbal and written communications skills

  • be able to work in a team environment and be self-driven if assigned to independent or small team tasks


Primary Skill:


Cobol Programming or SQL programming


Additional Skills:


SQL Language - Beginner
SQL Programming Intermediate
SSRS - Beginner
MS Access - Beginner
Structured Systems Analysis - Beginner

The Summer Intern must be able to work 32-40 during the summer (generally May through August, 2013).
