Interns will be a member of the space in addition to interning and would be able to use their space in their own time to write and connect with writers from many fields. Duties include client interaction (e.g., giving tours of the space), administrative tasks, and coverage of events. Interns will have the opportunity to blog, help plan events, explore marketing, and more. Will work with Word, Constant Contact, MindBody, Eventbrite, Facebook, Blogger, GoogleCal, etc.

Applicants for the 2013 International Paper (IP) summer internship should be enrolled in an occupational health, safety or industrial hygiene curriculum and have an interest in health & safety issues in a manufacturing setting. Intern will work at an integrated paper mill in Ticonderoga NY with possible travel to other IP paper mills and facilities including converting plants and our headquarters in Memphis, TN. The internship will provide significant work and developmental experiences through practical hands-on projects and close interaction with mentors and senior leaders. Specific projects may include MSDS management, chemical exposure and noise monitoring, safety training development, fall hazard risk assessments, machine guarding surveys or ergonomic assessments. Each intern may be assigned to multiple projects and will work directly with health & safety professionals and others throughout the corporation. This is a paid internship.
