Position: Marketing and Public Relations Internship Reports to: Communications Staff Location: Save The Bay Center, Providence, RI Dates: Fall, Spring & Summer Semesters About the Internship Position: Save The Bay seeks a highly motivated individual to support Save The Bay's marketing and public relations initiatives. The position will serve as an assistant to the Communications Department, working on photo documentation, event publicity and writing articles and press releases. This internship will be approximately 10-15 hours per week.

Reports to: Development Team Location: Save The Bay Center, Providence, RI Summary of Position: The position will serve as an assistant to the Development Team. The Development Intern will help support the day-to-day functioning of Save The Bays Development Team, assisting in duties related to membership development, donor engagement, events, and community outreach. The Development Intern will join a collaborative team in their active cultivation of supporters of Save The Bay. Primary responsibilities may include: Fulfill acknowledgement mailings Assist in new member outreach opportunities Assist in membership renewal process Assist in event logistics and operations Provide other assistance to the Development Team as needed

Position: Volunteer Program Assistant Internship Reports To: Volunteer & Internship Manager Location: Save The Bay Center, Providence, RI Dates: year round, preference given to students who can serve two semesters. Summary of Position: Save The Bay has a robust volunteer program, working with over 2,100 volunteers annually in a variety of capacities. Volunteers contribute an average of 10,000 hours of service to the organization each year. A career in volunteer management is truly a career in human resources, marketing, event management, community outreach and more! An internship in the volunteer program will provide students with the skills to organize events, manage & recognized volunteers, promote volunteer opportunities and internships, oversee outreach projects and events, manage individual volunteer programs, and coordinate efforts with a diverse staff. The position will serve as an assistant to the Volunteer Manager and Administrative team working on Save The Bays various volunteer events and programs. The intern will assist with the planning and implementation of the CVS/Caremark Charity Classic, Save The Bay Swim, Earth Day, Shoreline & Community Cleanups, Storm Drain Markings, Internships and other events. This internship will also assist with the general day-to-day administrative support that is required to keep a volunteer program at a non-profit running.

Save The Bay seeks a highly motivated individual to support Save The Bay's public relations initiatives. The position will support the Communications Department. This internship will be approximately 21-35 hours per week. Responsibilities: Assist with the creation and implementation of pr plans Maintain media lists and archive articles Research and write articles for Save The Bay publications. Academic year preference given to students who can serve two semesters. About the Internship Position: Save The Bay seeks a highly motivated individual to support Save The Bay's marketing initiatives. The position will serve as an assistant to the Communications Department, working on graphic design or in the field. This internship will be approximately 7 hours a week in the office with the ability to work additional hours from home or school. About the Internship Position: Save The Bay seeks a highly motivated individual to support Save The Bay's Policy and Education Programs. Save The Bay is working on ways to incorporate activities within our policy and habitat restoration programs with our education department to enhance experiential learning. To support this effort, we seek a GIS intern to create maps and a geodatabase that tie policy issues and habitat restoration activities in to local schools. This internship is an excellent opportunity for motivated individual to have a hands-on role in ecological restoration efforts, gain an understanding of practical GIS applications and experience using GIS in real world projects, receive experience with database and project management, and environmental problem-solving techniques. Compensation: Save The Bay Internships are unpaid. Save The Bay will work with your school to receive credit for your internship. This position would be 5-10 hours per week with flexible days. All Save The Bay Interns are also required to work at the Save The Bay Swim on Saturday, July 20.
