We are motivated by the 950 million people worldwide and 16 million people in the United States that are currently at risk of going hungry each day. Feeding Children Everywhere has three branches in the US. Our primary branch is located in Orlando, Fl while our secondary branches are established in Hartford, CT and near Los Angeles, CA. Our Los Angeles, CA branch is our most recent establishment, and we are now accepting internship applications for this location. The West Coast Operations Interns work directly with our West Coast Region Directors to lead our meal packing events! From mobilizing hundreds to thousands of volunteers, training and leading groups, to ensuring proper product inventory levels; this position offers an exciting opportunity to make a differencehands on! Our events range from university events, elementary school events, to corporate events, so this position requires a personality that can engage with all types of people. Excellent communication skills are a must, as well as willingness to get a little dirty (ie. filling inventory of lentils, rice, dehydrated vegetables, and pink Himalayan sea salt.) Our Operations Interns work directly with our shipping and warehouse managers to ensure that inventory (down to the last bag of rice) is ready for each and every one of our events. Whether its preparing for a 10 thousand meal event or a 2 million meal event, this position is event focused and gives opportunity to lead teams of volunteers while monitoring and managing inventory and product levels. This specific role does require some heavy lifting (ie. 50-100 Ib bags of lentils & rice) and travel (as they will help lead events that take place all over the state of FL). Operations interns will be exposed to the ins and outs of event logistics, inventory management, shipping & distribution management, and more. While Feeding Children Everywhere's main branch is located in Orlando, Fl, our organization is now accepting applications for our Northeast location near the Hartford, Connecticut area. We are very excited to be in the Hartford area, and expect our Northeast interns to play a key role in the development and expansion of this branch. This position is on a volunteer basis, and we are looking for interns who are positive, passionate, hardworking and flexible as our Connecticut branch continues to grow.
