Company is looking for an intern interested in working for a non-profit providing direct client services to victims of crime. This is 20-hour internship. Training provided.
Community Advocates for Family & Youth (CAFY) is full social services organization working to prevent, support and educate about violence and victimization. We serve victims of crimes to help reduce trauma, hold offenders accountable, and stabilize victims involved in violent crimes. Trained victim advocates provide crisis intervention, case management, court education and accompaniment and post trial support.
CAFY helps families deal with daily life issues associated with at-risk youth including youth crime, violence, sex, and substance abuse. Trained mentors work to recognize the challenges within a family given to the issues abuse, poor academic performance, etc.,
CAFY provides linguistically specific services to Hispanic victims as well.
