This is a mentoring opportunity with both the Executive Director (ED) and other Board Members. About KHORIKOS KHORIKOS is one of New York City's most distinguished a cappella ensembles, performing a wide range of musical works from medieval polyphony to contemporary sound sculpture. We are taking the lead in re-inventing classical music by engaging in unique collaborations with artists of other genres, including film and dance, and by performing in traditional and non-traditional venues. KHORIKOS performances have been described as other-worldly, powerful and cutting-edge. The objective of the Concert Production intern is to assist the Executive Director and Artistic Director in planning and executing the concert season. The ED will ensure that the KHORIKOS season is constantly filled with new, cutting edge and prestigious performance opportunities through effective strategizing, outreach and implementation. Each concert needs to be well organized, budgeted and marketed to achieve maximum revenue for core operations. Strategic collaborations need to be sought out, cultivated and implemented, especially with regard to creating multi-disciplinary projects and non-traditional events. Careful attention to concert quality must be maintained at all times with regard to scheduling. Potential for growth into Concert Producer responsibilities. KHORIKOS, NYC's most innovative a cappella ensemble is looking for a bookkeeping intern to join their team. Clip of KHORIKOS performance: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q5h-0mJriHQ&feature=youtu.be A unique opportunity to gain college credit and work experience at one of NYCs newest non-profit cultural groups. This is a mentoring opportunity with both the Executive Director (ED) and other Board Members, including a CPA. The bookkeeping intern will assist the ED with basic bookkeeping, organizing materials and running Quickbook Reports for IRS filings. The Intern will also assist the ED in preparing the annual Cultural Data Profile for grant applications and updating various non-profit profiles.
