Microsoft Access skills are also recommended as a secondary project could involve internal reporting.

This Specialist RAN employee (IC II) will work along side engineers working for the National Radio Access Network Engineering team who are responsible for overseeing LTE network deployments and in many cases review performance reports and provide technical approval decision for these deployments. This individual will also assist in enhancing LTE guidelines and assist in the development of Long-Term Evolution (LTE) launch requirements, guidelines, and processes. The individual will also regularly interact with our infrastructure vendors, 3rd party vendors, and AT&Ts cross-functional teams, along with our local RAN markets teams to ensure that all aspects of the process, under our national launch guidelines are being followed. Some further duties may require frequent presentations to large groups and/or senior executive leadership and may have to produce the technical documentation. We are looking for individuals who are highly motivated to gain technical knowledge; works well independently with the ability to manage multiple tasks on a regular basis. Finally, the individual must have excellent communication skills and possess leadership abilities.



Required Degrees/Majors/Accreditations/Skills:

Provides radio frequency (RF) and/or Radio Access Network (RAN) design. Designs, plans and oversees installation, maintenance and optimization of wireless radio access network communications systems, including radio propagation modeling and prediction, microwave path analysis, interference analysis, frequency coordination, cell site equipment layout, parameter definition and ancillary equipment. Analyzes RAN data to recommend optimal changes to RAN network to improve all the key indexes and performance indicators.

Nature of Contribution- Technical professional with limited experience. Primarily completes standard work.


Knowledge - Has basic working knowledge of technical principles and methods within own discipline / specialty area. Integrates basic principles of discipline with processes and procedures to complete own job. Grows current knowledge of AT&T technologies, systems.

Additional Responsibilities

This may include, but is not limited to, work related to fuel tanks, emergency and stand-by generators, boilers, hazardous waste, hazardous materials, batteries, manholes and vaults, water wells, linear and other construction projects, water discharge, or air emissions.
Required Qualifications

  • 0-1 year of experience with Network architecture (3GPP Air interface, standards, technology and evolution, etc.)

  • Fully proficient with RF engineering principles (RF communications theory, design principles, network optimization, propagation modeling and prediction, etc.) and vendor capability assessment.

  • Must be familiar with MS Office products such as Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint as well as intimate knowledge of MapInfo. Understanding of other mapping software such as but not limited to Street Atlas or MS Streets & Trips mapping programs is a plus.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Math or Sciences or equivalent related technical experience.

The multi-faceted Retail Sales Leadership Program provides participants with training and experiences that will prepare them to step into retail management positions and launch a promising, progressive career with the skills and confidence that ensure success. Core components of the program which is conducted in Atlanta at AT&Ts wireless division headquarters, include:


  • Intensive 12 month focus on developing leadership, management and coaching skills

Once you graduate, you will be placed in a retail store location. There, your responsibilities will be to:

  • Supervise the overall daily operation of a store including hiring, coaching, disciplining, and scheduling of employees to ensure cost effective and quality Store Operations.
