Position Summary: The Business Center Intern will be responsible for assisting with the accurate completion of work submitted to the Firmwide Business Center. Responsibilities include an array of administrative support tasks, including word processing, data entry, preparing mailings, and other general clerical work. If this internship is being completed for school credit, we will complete the necessary employer requirements for student to receive credit. Essential Functions: Creating and formatting documents from hand written or marked-up documents; Revising previously created documents, spreadsheets, and presentations following formats and styles already created in such product; Creating and printing labels as requested; Imaging and profiling in Digital File, our electronic document storage system; Preparing bulk mailings; Updating contact lists; Transcription of digital dictation; Managing calendars; Copying CDs; and Photocopying documents, books, and other papers as needed. Job Requirements: Education: High School graduate with some college courses. Experience: Some experience working in a general office environment preferred. Skills: Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Ability to prioritize workload, produce accurate work product and meet deadlines. Ability to understand and follow specific and detailed instructions. Equipment To Be Used: Must be able to operate personal computer and other office equipment such as telephone, printer, scanner, photocopier and so on. Typical Physical Demands: Requires sitting for prolonged periods of time and manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office equipment. Typical Mental Demands: Must be able to deal with stress associated with fast-paced work environment, including handling the demands of multiple tasks on a daily basis. Must be able to work well as a member of a team. Must be able to adapt to changing work situations and grasp and apply new ideas. Working Conditions: Work in a typical office setting.
