Overview of the Position Serves with a major responsibility for non-profit administration, marketing, communications, customer service and public relations. Is able to handle matters confidentially whether the item(s) are labeled confidential or not. Work as a cooperative and friendly member of the Newport Sea Base team. Report to the Office Manager. Primary Responsibilities/Duties 1. Serves as reception and customer service representative at the direction of the Office Manager. 2. Serves as the Social Media administrator and oversees Alumni Association at the direction of the Director and/or Office Manager. 3. Assist in the creation and implementation of exciting web content, and additional printed materials which serve to promote usage of the facility at the approval of the Director and/or Office Manager. 4. In conjunction with the Director, responsible for the marketing and promotion of all facility offerings. 5. Works together with the staff to ensure facility offerings are marketed accurately and effectively to our constituents and to the broader community. 6. Assist in the regular upkeep of written materials (program guides and flyers) in various pre-determined locations. 7. Assists with database maintenance, follow-up calls, and thank you correspondence to constituents. 8. In conjunction with the Director and Office Manager, prepare helpful suggestions in areas for improvement. 9. Attend 1-2 industry trade shows or events as a part of the Newport Sea Base team. 10. In conjunction with the Director and Office Manager, coordinate the Newport Sea Base room usage and sponsored special events.
