Archive Description The mission of the WNET Tape Archive/Library is to collect, preserve and make available production materials and programs that have either been produced or co-produced by WNET, from 1962 to the present, as well as programs produced by its former entities, NET and WNDT, both of which predate WNET and the creation of PBS. Although the materials in the collection date back to the 1950s, the tape archive was not established in its current form until December 1998.
