Invention / Patent / Intellectual Property licensing intern needed to contact law firms and manufacturers An intern is needed to email manufacturers and intellectual property law firms so we can inquire about licensing our intellectual property. Available to all; being a legal/law student is not required. We are a new IP holder and manufacturer in Santa Monica, and have several patent applications filed. We are just starting to make contact with law firms and manufacturers for the purpose of finding companies who will license this IP from us. Most of your work will be searching for law firm and manufacturer contact information, making email contacts, and providing our IP info to them. The Aquarium Programs Intern will assist with the development and operations of the Aquariums public visiting hours and programs. Interns will also pursue projects including: creating and conducting presentations for visitors, mentoring volunteers, developing activities and interactive displays, creating new arts and graphics, and other projects. We are looking for responsible, dedicated, and outgoing interns to work with the public programs department. This internship is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in marine science, environmental education, program development and management, operating and working at an Aquarium, and working for an environmental non-profit group.

The Santa Monica Pier Aquarium offers school groups, families and visitors a unique view into the ocean world right outside our doors. It is home to more than one hundred organisms native to the Santa Monica Bay. Interactive displays, touch tanks filled with tide pool animals, a shark tank exhibit and a microscope lab are some of the main features of the Aquarium. As Heal the Bays marine education facility, the Aquarium also strives to teach visitors about the importance of environmental stewardship and marine conservation. The Social Media Intern will help in the research and development of content for the Aquariums social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram and the website blog. Interns will also assist with the monitoring and tracking of the effectiveness of these platforms.
