CapeMoments is a new nonprofit organization dedicated to teaching how to capture moments in time through photography, and supporting the healing journeys of those affected by cancer. We do this through innovative "CapeMoments Photo Journeys", on-site workshops conducted on Cape Cod and at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and through the sale of educational photography products. All proceeds from CapeMoments activities go to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute for life-saving cancer research and care. CapeMoments mission is to teach people how to capture meaningful moments in time through a camera in ways that help them express themselves artistically while at the same time helping others. CapeMoments also supports cancer patients directly through photography education, and by raising money that pays for life-saving cancer research and treatment at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. CapeMoments intends to create a very new type of photography experience and education for Cape visitors and residents and plans to become a well-known and respected nonprofit with a large and dedicated following. CapeMoments is seeking an intern to participate in the launch of this innovative organization and to serve as an integral part of the startup team. The intern will have the opportunity to design and develop a new website promoting the organization's missions around photography education the support of cancer research and treatment. The website will contain innovative content presented in a thoughtful way that attracts viewers to become part of the CapeMoments community. In addition, the website will support a vibrant forum, a reservation system, and an e-commerce purchasing capability. The intern will play a lead role working with the CapeMoments President, Board and graphic designer to create a compelling, rich, and highly functional website. In addition, the intern will have the opportunity to design and implement a broad social media marketing campaign, recruiting early participants and customers.
