Founded in 1992, Urban Solutions is a dynamic and productive economic development non-profit organization based in San Francisco. Our mission is to strengthen underserved neighborhoods by supporting small businesses, job creation, diversity and sustainability. Description Urban Solutions has an immediate opening for an intern or volunteer to support the traditional and social media outreach of the organization and our neighborhood programs. This is a unique opportunity to learn about undiscovered microenterprises in San Francisco and to help with their promotions. The intern/volunteer will operate under the direction of the Development and Communications Director. This is not an entry-level or training position. We ask that applicants consider a minimum two-month commitment at 10-15 hours per week (negotiable). The Public Relations Intern will be working directly with the Director of Marketing in Santa Barbara to research, promote and coordinate the public relations and sales efforts for several WIN Management projects. The Public Relations Intern is expected to contribute 5 hours per week to completing the delegated tasks by the assigned deadline (where appropriate). Skills / Experience to Gain: Resume experience and letter of recommendation from WIN Management, Inc. Learn how to perfect the pitch via e-mail and phone to top media contacts. Will receive resources and guidelines to provide the essential tools necessary to perform job functions (learn how to identify appropriate television segments, how to find media contacts, how to research media publications and television shows, and how to appropriately individualize the marketing pitch). Will gain experience with social media and affiliate marketing. Will work to establish working relationships with media contacts for all future PR work, create your own contact list of media representatives, and compile your own resource tools to perform essential PR tasks. We've moved into an art studio in the Pilson neighborhood and in need of a few geniuses to help take our business to new heights. Our specialty is custom graphics for start up businesses & entrepreneurs and designing invitations and stationery for birthdays, weddings, and other special occasions. We have partnered with another business owner and will be hosting events and craft workshops on a weekly basis. Interns may often be asked to teach or assist with workshops as well. Looking for serious applicants only. We are willing to train you in some areas if needed.

The Prevention Recovery in Early Psychosis Youth Advisory Council (PYAC) serve a crucial role to ensuring that young people with psychosis can get access to services and supports they need to reach recovery. The PREP Youth Advisory Council (PYAC), is an initiative spearheaded through the partnership between the Mental Health Association of San Francisco (MHASF) and the Prevention Recovery in Early Psychosis (PREP) based on the belief that young people provide a unique role in eliminating stigma around psychosis and necessary perspective for improving access to mental health services for other young people who may be at-risk or experiencing psychosis. As a PYAC member you will be participating on monthly PYAC meetings to develop collateral and marketing materials for outreach, collaborating to develop a youth-friendly presentation about psychosis, have opportunities to lead youth outreach, participate in developing a video about PREP services, and serving as the youth voice for PREP Executive Team. PYAC members will also be engaging in Mental Health Advocacy efforts to ensure Mental Health Services for youth are appropriate, accessible and available.
