WETA Public Television and Classical 90.9 FM provides internship opportunities designed to help expand students' knowledge and experience in public media and compliment their studies. Working on the weekly national program, "Washington Week with Gwen Ifill", the intern will research national and international news stories, monitor and log live news events, log and archive video clips from past shows for use on the broadcast and on the web. They will also assist in the production of website updates, webchats and guest relations. The intern will also assist producers with script and rundown preparation and other control room duties during live broadcasts. This is an unpaid internship with a small travel stipend available.
