DescriptionDo you like creating innovative solutions to tough problems? Developing new products and seeing consumers use them every day? If so, you’d be a perfect fit for So, Pick A Party, the first nightlife search guide.
So, Pick A Party is looking for an intelligent, motivated Web Development Intern. We're an early-stage startup based in Boston that is revolutionizing the way people discover events. The role will give you significant exposure to the inner workings of a startup and you will have a direct impact on the future of the business.
What’s a day in the life like?
-Integrate with ticketing API’s
-Work with team on A/B testing
-Troubleshoot customer issues with site
-Modify site to decrease bounce rate
-Work with team to scaling system
-Participate in weekly meeting
Responsibilities
ResponsibilitiesYou will work closely with the founding team to launch something really big and help improve international students lives! Here's what you'll be doing:
- Work 15-25 hours per week from our sweet office
- Help develop the Culture Adapt website
- Help develop and design interactive culture education tutorials
- Attend tech and education tech networking events
- Research and make recommendations for scalability
Requirements
RequirementsWe keep it simple. You need to have experience with:
-Wordpress
-Facebook and other API integrations
-DHTML, CSS, AJAX, Javascript and frameworks such as jQuery
-Solid understanding of web standards and cross-browser compatibility
-Strong attention to pixel perfect web design
-A/B testing and/or Google Web Optimizer (Big plus!)
-PHP 5 and MySQL 5 (Big plus!)
