Description
Solostop (thesolostop.com) is a startup social network/social aggregator that aggregates newsfeeds from social networks such as Facebook and Twitter into "stops", along with RSS feeds from news sites and Reddit, and allows users to share these posts with their friends via drag-and-drop, as well as share across networks (see a picture on Facebook, drag it to post to Twitter). We've developed our first beta version, but have a plan for improvements to come, such as adding more social networks, creating an app, adding profiles similar to Facebook, and a more artful, interactive website, as well as develop an advertising model. Some of these improvements are ones we plan to make while we continue our negotiations with multiple venture capital firms, while in the meantime we have a small amount of capital. Until we secure an external investment, we would be hiring you as an off-site contractor, flex hours where you could work less than an hour a day if you choose, and we could negotiate payment per task. If we're a good fit, an on-site paid position could perhaps follow in the summer.Responsibilities
Depending on which of the requirements you possess, you could expect to be working on projects such as creating new social network stops (similar to widgets/applications) like the ones already on the site, developing social network profiles, basic search functions, database setup, creating a Sound Hound application for the site, and a YouTube video sharing application for the stop. If you are a mobile developer, you would be working on building an app version of the site (thesolostop.com) with drag-and-drop sharing, as well as the other functions of the site such as seeing feeds from all your social networks.Requirements
Programming Languages- (at least a few of these)- HTML5, CSS, PHP, Python, AJAX, mySQLPreferably you have certification in some of these, if not if you can show us projects or transcripts proving you are fluent or proficient in them
