Local First of Greater Pocatello is seeking to hire an intern with strong knowledge and understanding of the digital media landscape, including various social media websites. The intern will work closely with the Director to help support online marketing and communications campaigns for the organizations. Positions are unpaid and are offered to college students (undergraduate or graduate) as well as recent graduates.Our work is meaningful, and while small, our team is passionate and dynamic. We have several opportunities for student interns. Applications are accepted and processed throughout the year depending on recruitment needs. Positions are filled on a first-come-first-served basis for the following terms:
Early Spring Term - First week of January through mid-March
Late Spring Term - Mid-March through end of May
Summer Term - Early June through mid-August
Fall Term - Early September through mid-December
Responsibilities
Specific internship duties include, but are not limited to:Website updates
Monitor blogs, forums and social networks
Contribute to organization blog and to online outreach and promotion using Facebook and Twitter
Research and develop ways to improve engagement and site traffic
Requirements
QualificationsHighly motivated, undergraduate or recent graduate in good academic standing and with a strong interest or background in localization issues or studies
Preferably a marketing, communications, journalism or PR major
Good problem-solving and superior writing skills
Strong English language/grammar skills
Some experience with CMS and social media scheduling tools
Direct experience working with Social Media Channels (Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
