Description
La Belle Agency, a boutique beauty agency based in Dallas, is looking for an intern interested in learning all aspects of the public relations and event planning. It's essential that applicants to this position have excellent communication skills, demonstrate creativity, and understand the importance of attending to even the smallest details.This is a non-paid internship with flexible hours. Ideal candidate will be a junior, senior or graduate level college student with a major course study in public relations, journalism, marketing or other communications-related field.
Responsibilities
[] Monitor all forms of media[] Social media account management (Facebook & Twitter updates, Pinterest management, blogging, etc)
[] Schedule and coordinate, appearances, video shoots, photo shoots, and other special events
[] Create PR Plans
[] Copy writing (press release, biographical information, and other materials )
[] Screen phone calls
[] Assist with mailings and print production
[] Create interview preparation materials
[] Compile contact lists
[] Search for press clippings
[] Create or update databases
[] Greet guests and clients
[] Plan small social events
[] Ability to attend networking events with or as a representative of the agency
Requirements
Ability to travel to the Denton, TX home office will be required for some meetings.Students applying for this internship must have strong communication skills and should be majoring in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing or Journalism. Applicants should also have strong writing skills, as well as a solid understanding of social media. Only interns proficient with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications should apply.
NOTE
Traveling maybe scheduled during the internship program. Though encouraged, traveling outside of the Dallas/Fort Worth area is not a requirement for the intern.
