As a Pharmacy Operations MBA intern, you will lead a critical component of a long-term strategic initiative or manage the complete lifecycle from ideation through implementation of a shorter term initiative. The MBA intern experience will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of our Retail Pharmacy business through the opportunity to work with a diverse set of stakeholders across our corporate office and our retail store locations, as well as the opportunity to spend time in our stores. The ideal candidate possesses a unique mix of analytic, leadership and communication skills that will allow him or her to deploy innovative solutions that will be adopted across our national pharmacy chain.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
•The MBA Intern will be responsible for project management of his or her initiative, which can include:
•Performing data analysis and field research
•Ideation of solutions in collaboration with subject matter experts within our Customer Support Center
•Pilot testing with field and store teams
•Depending on the nature of the project, MBA Intern responsibilities could also include:
•Identifying and estimating the opportunity size of Retail Pharmacy continuous improvement projects
•Conducting and coordinating in-store pilots, data analysis and stakeholder interviews to test the feasibility and confirm the value associated with individual projects
•Writing detailed business requirements
•Coordinating cross-functional workgroups to support the timely realization of enhancements and innovations
•Preparing written communications and documentation to influence stakeholders and support project launch
•All MBA interns will deliver a final presentation to senior leadership of the Retail Pharmacy Required Qualifications:
Experience developing and implementing process improvements and/or innovation Experience developing and communicating strategic and tactical recommendations Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, adjusting priorities as needed and meeting deadlines Ability to produce results by working within established timeframes, deadlines, and understanding potential barriers and next steps Ability to work both independently and in a team environment Ability to quickly come up to speed on a new technology and an industry to be able to identify potential risks and barriers to 7,200+ retail location roll-out Three to five years prior work experience Position is located in CVS Customer Support Center in Woonsocket, Rhode Island Preferred Qualifications:
Management or strategy consulting experience a strong plus Competency in Six Sigma and/or TQM processes Experience in Healthcare and/or Operations Experience developing and executing change management programs Education:
