Description
LifeCity is seeking a graduate or undergraduate film student with a passion for sustainability to develop a series of promotional films of our members. The film intern will be responsible for visiting and interviewing a number of LifeCity certified green businesses, while also documenting a few businesses as they prepare for our annual sustainability business competition. This internship is a perfect opportunity to showcase documentary skills and creativity to a broad audience in New Orleans.This internship would require 5-10 hours per week. We are unable to compensate interns at this time, but guarantee promotion of intern’s work to our business and individual members on our website and social media channels.
Professional Development: Wide exposure of portfolio to New Orleans community, greater understanding of social entrepreneurship and green business development, networking experiences with local green companies and organizations, and satisfaction of helping develop a more sustainable NOLA!

Responsibilities
Shoot and edit LifeCity Member Informational VideosCreate a 30 second video for each LifeCity member in which they explain who they are and why they are green
Videos will be featured on LifeCity and member websites and social media
Green Games Videos
Follow 3 members who complete the Green Games sustainability business competition
Conduct a “before” and “after” interview for Green Games participants to document their experience and some of the changes they made by participating in the Green Games
Create the Green Game videos and music for the Awards Ceremony
Other “how to live green” videos as needed
Requirements
Experience with shooting documentary video and editing footageAccess to video equipment and editing software
Work well independently and self-disciplined
Passion for promoting a sustainable community
