Back Stage is seeking interns for the Back Stage Casting Department. Internships are available for the Fall 2012 semester in L.A.

Interns will conduct research regarding opportunities of interest to Back Stage readers (such as upcoming auditions, casting/job opportunities, open mikes, talent competitions, script calls, and film festivals), and may participate in a variety of related tasks, including writing articles like "Who Got the Part" for print and online publication, researching film and theater topics, creating Excel spreadsheets of entertainment-industry data, assisting with mailings, writing casting/job notices, blogging, interviewing casting directors, working on social-networking initiatives, and/or working on other journalism or research projects. Note: Internship projects will be partially tailored to fit your skills and interests. Interns will have the opportunity to participate in research projects, writing, interviewing, fact-checking, proof-reading, marketing, graphic design, and creating compelling content for an audience of hundreds of thousands of actors and performers. Journalism, film, and theater students are encouraged to apply.
Interns should be 18+, enrolled in college, interested in the entertainment industry, must be able to provide a letter from an accredited college/university showing that the internship is being accepted for school credit.
