Job Description
Well Fargo Capital Finance (WFCF) offers traditional asset-based lending, specialized junior and senior secured financing, factoring and financing for domestic and international trade to a wide range of companies throughout the U.S. and to businesses in Canada. We provide comprehensive asset-based lending to companies in the U.K. through Burdale Financial Limited, a Wells Fargo company. In addition, specialty industry groups within Capital Finance develop financing tailored to retailers, software and technology companies, commercial finance companies, staffing companies, government contractors, and timeshare developers.
The Learning & Development (L&D) internship is intended for an undergraduate student and provides the opportunity to assist with developing a blended learning curriculum for a new Capital Finance employee on-boarding and orientation program.
The internship will last approximately 3 months. It is located at Capital Finance headquarters in Santa Monica, CA.
You will gain direct experience developing components of a blended learning curriculum. This will include:
- Develop a web-based employee learning roadmap using a software template.
- Evaluate existing training resources for their effectiveness as part of a larger new-hire on-boarding curriculum.
- Determine gaps in the curriculum where employee learning needs cannot be met by existing training resources.
- Develop simple training tools and resources first-hand and/or work closely with a dedicated e-learning design team to development more complex training modules.
- Collaborate during L&D team meetings by sharing your unique perspective, reporting on progress of assigned tasks, and presenting recommendations for your program areas of focus.
You will be directed and coached by an L&D Consultant. You may be asked to assist the Consultant with tasks from the following areas of work:
- Engage stakeholders from across all Capital Finance business groups and departments to ensure that content, design, and delivery of the onboarding and orientation program is in alignment with departmental needs and the business s overall strategic goals.
- Uncover existing Wells Fargo enterprise resources for content and delivery, and assess the potential relevance and application to a Capital Finance onboarding and orientation program.
- Outline learning objectives for all essential content. Determine the appropriate training delivery methodologies needed in order for us to measure whether program participants are able to demonstrate that they can meet objectives.
- Design program performance metrics and determine measurement methodology in order for us to continually assess the program s effectiveness with participants and its value for the business.
- Structure a learner road map that guides a participant through the many steps of an onboarding program in a well-organized, effective, time-sensitive, and phased manner.
- Ensure program is developed in alignment with all applicable Wells Fargo standards, policies, and guidelines.
