2013 Sports Nutrition Internships
Sports nutrition internships offer interns the opportunity to work with individuals in exercise facilities to provide professional advice on diet and exercise. Interns are usually trained to provide nutrition counseling to patients or clients at the facility they work at. In addition, interns are usually given access to various athletic teams to whom they provide nutritional assessments and education sessions on sports nutrition and its importance. Interns also participate in physician-supervised programs and help teach classes, develop educational material and work at wellness fairs. The usual requirements for a student to be accepted to a sports nutrition internship are a strong academic performance, related work experience if any, and associated activities and awards.
